Our online shop is open.

Due to current restrictions we are experiencing delays in our supply chain and production process may be slower. Please check individual product pages for estimated delivery and guaranteed dispatch times.

For your protection we are taking the responsibility for longer delays: you'll be able to cancel your item and receive refund if it hasn't been shipped by the guaranteed dispatch time.

Shop Policies

Made to order

Our products are made to order. The unique nature of the hardwood we use (Cherry) is behind this reasoning, as you'll be able to enjoy all ageing stages of the product.

Our lead times vary, depending on product, and begin after payment has been processed. For current specific lead times please consult individual product pages.

Cancellations and returns

If you wish to cancel your order please contact us within 24 hours after payment. We will issue a full refund. Cancellations are not possible after the initial 24 hours.

Due to the custom nature of handmade furniture, all sales are final.

If we fail to ship an item within the guaranteed dispatch time (indicated at the time of purchase and in your invoice) you will be able to cancel the item from your order and we'll refund you the sale price and any taxes we've charged you for it.

Warranty

All our products are covered by a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended.

Given the nature of wood, we cannot match or guarantee specific wood grains or hues, nor we can accept claims based on grain, hue or imperfections, such as knots - we believe these to be an essential aspect of the natural wood's beauty, making each product unique.

Minor variations from the product's specified dimensions are also considered acceptable.

Product care instructions have been included with each purchase. The warranty doesn't apply if damage is caused by careless removal of packaging, not following the provided instructions, unreasonable use or neglect, third-party materials applied to our products, exposure to unusual conditions, or normal wear and tear.

To start a claim contact us by email at contact@nunawe.com. Including photographs of any fault helps a lot in speeding up the process. When we verify that the fault is covered by the product's warranty we will either send you a replacement product or part, or we'll cover local repair expenses.

Receiving your order

Shipping

All orders ship free of charge within Canada and the United States, either via postal services or a carrier, such as FedEx or UPS. As soon as your items are shipped you will receive a tracking number. Transit times vary based on location and are usually between 2 and 8 business days after we have shipped your order.

Import duties and fees for US orders

We estimate that no duties will be owed for our products, however, the final decision is made by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official.

Please note that any applicable duties and fees are the responsibility of buyers, and, if due, you will be charged directly by CBP and/ or the postal or courier service.

Receiving shipments

Customers must be on-site to receive, inspect and sign for delivery. In case of a failed delivery, storage and redelivery fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

All shipments from Nunawe are insured against damage and loss. It is important that at the time of delivery you carefully inspect the packaging. Shipping documents should not be signed without recording details of transit damage (for example, one corner of the box is crushed, the box is punctured or wet).

If a package appears to be damaged you must retain all original packaging - it may be requested by the carrier for inspection. Failure to save the packaging will invalidate a claim. Take photographs of the damage to the packaging and any damage to the product inside.

All freight claims must be filed with the shipping company within 48 hours. Contact us as soon as possible (contact@nunawe.com) so that we can proceed with submitting a claim. Failure to submit a claim with the shipping company within 48 hours of delivery will constitute an unconditional acceptance of the products.

Once the investigation is complete, usually within 5-7 business days, the shipping company will notify us and we will send you a replacement product or part, depending on damage. We will arrange for the shipping of the damaged item back to us.

Please note that we take great care in properly packaging your order - in some cases a package may appear damaged while the product inside is intact.

Unpacking

Please take care when opening the package. Do not use a sharp knife or tool as you risk cutting through to the product.

Privacy policy

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, such as verifying your credit card, placing an order, arranging for delivery, cancelling or returning a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, for example, to send you emails about our store, new products and other updates, we will ask for your expressed consent.

To better understand our website visitors and manage our marketing efforts, the following additional data is collected.

Cookies

For our site only! The cookies are set as a 1st-party cookie, meaning it can only work on our website - it cannot be used to track a visitor across several different websites.

The service we use for data analysis, GoSquared, does not track our visitors across websites, and we do not in any way attempt to trace browsing behaviours across websites.

If you have cookies enabled the following cookies are set:

  1. gs_u_GSN-744268-S - Used to tell if you have visited our site before.
  2. gs_p_GSN-744268-S - Keeps track of a previously viewed page throughout your browsing session.
  3. gs_v_GSN-744268-S - Set as an individual identifier, for example when you chat with us, so that we can recognise you on future visits.

Additionally, the implementation of our shopping cart requires a cookie to track which products you've added to your cart.

For security, reasons our hosting service provider may log connections to the server by IP address. These records are only logged to prevent and block possible attacks to the server or to our website.
